Modular Laboratory

Modular Laboratory
These laboratory modules have limitless potential for expansion to meet a variety of project requirements. The facilities can start with a sample preparation unit and be expanded to a full production and support laboratory. Laboratory configurations may include; core logging and splitting, sample preparation, fire assaying, wet assaying, metallurgical laboratory, environmental analysis, oil analysis, offices, lunchrooms and washrooms.

Fire Assay Laboratory
Fire Assay Laboratory
This module houses three Mines Assay Glo-Bar electric furnaces, two for fusion and one for cupellation. Access to the rear of the furnaces is through removable wall panels allowing the furnaces to be placed within 25.4 cm of the wall, creating the max, work area. A single pouring and slagging hood is situated between the two fusion furnaces. A perforated floor area in front of the furnaces provides fresh makeup air that can be heated or cooled as required. The module has a production capacity of 350 samples/day.

Sample Receiving and Preparation
Sample Receiving & Preparation
Crushers and pulverizes are housed within dust capture hoods that are vented into a bag house, with makeup air entering through the floor grating. Each workstation includes a compressed air handgun, with independent regulators. Sample preparation area has a production capacity of 400 samples/day.
Wet Laboratory

Wet Laboratory Atomic Absorption (AA) Module
This module is the center for digestion and final assay work. Cabinets are designed specifically for each application with countertops being of acid resistant epoxy or stainless steel. The fume hood is equipped with water wash down, fan scrubber, and interior fume hood lighting that allows for good visual inspection of the digestion process.
